This privacy policy explains what personal information Laams collects, how Laams processes data, and for what purposes are the processed information used. This privacy policy applies to our clients, partners, customers, drivers and all the users of Laams products and applications.

Laams offers a wide range of products, including Laams educational applications (Hoshmand and Laams Academy), e-commerce applications, business related software, open source software (OSS), and devices. Any references to Laams services and products includes all of Laams software (mobile, desktop, web), applications (mobile, desktop, web), devices, web services, websites, OSS, and online and physical stores.

I. How Does Laams Collect Your Personal Information?

Laams collects your personal information when you use or interact with any of Laams Services and Products in order to provide you better services and enhanced user experience, for instance, your geographical location is used for our e-commerce on time delivery service.

How we collect your personal information and what information we collect depends on how you interact with Laams, which of our products or services you use, the information you share voluntarily, and the country you live in, as applicable by law.

You directly and voluntarily provide some of your personal information to Laams, for instance:

When you create a Laams Account, which includes your full name, credentials, contact information, identification information, demographic data (language of choice, your currency, age, gender...) and the type of device you are using.
When you create a Laams Employee account, which includes your full name, identification information, contact information, work experience, skills, driving license and vehicle information, and background check (as permissible by law).
When you create a Laams Business Suite Account, which includes your full name, indentification information, contact information, business profile and registration information, products information, language of choice and currency.
When you register for LaamsLab online specialization programs and courses, which includes your full name, gender, age, education history, current educational institution, English language skills and contact information.
When reporting OSS crash reports, which includes your gender, age, education level and any extra information you voluntarily share with us.
In certain circumstances, you may need to provide your Personal information to comply with legal requirements or contractual obligations.

Some of your information are automatically collected based on the type of Laams Product or Service you use, for instance:

When you register with Laams e-commerce applications, Laams Drive application, Laams Business Suite, Laams OSS, LaamsLab, and other Laams Software-based services through your mobile, computer, the web or any other smart device, which includes your current geographical location, your contacts, your device harware and operating system information, your activity history and how you interact with Laams e-Commerce Applications.
When you interact with any of our software, applications, OSS and devices, which includes the type of services you use, your search queries, your activity history, our products and software performance report, your settings, information about your operating system and the hardware, your internet connection, your favorites (explicitly or implicitly provided) and votes, ratings and feedback given through our e-commerce application, or provided for any of our services and products.
When you scan a store or other users’ bar codes and qr codes for e-wallet payments, which includes access to your device camera, accessed with your consent and can be opt out of, which will cause the Laams service you are using to stop functioning properly.

Some of your information are collected from other sources:

When you create an account with Laams using referral programs, such as signing up through your Facebook or Google accounts, which includes your name, email and other permissible information and data.
When you interact with Laams through our partners, for instance, when you register with any of our partner stores (who use Laams Business Suite) as a regular customer, which includes your interests and likes, your demographic information, your orders history and payment transcations information.
When you interact with Laams through social media and other public interfaces and service providers, which may includes your indentificaiton information, demographic information, likes and interests.
When you create an account as a Laams Driver or Laams Employee, or try to use your card or a bank account, some of your information is collected from the relevant financial agency and governmental sources of data, for background checks and prevention of fraudulent transactions.
When Laams uses third-party marketing service providers and anlaytics tools for showing ads and analyzing the traffic and performance of Laams software, applications, and products, which might include your demographic information, interests and other relevant information. The afore-mentioned service providers have their own tracking system. Although, they gaurantee confidentiality and privacy on contractual basis, Laams do not have any control over their data collection process and the kind of information they collect, for any concerns you may refer to their privacy policy on their websites.

Some of the information Laams collects are collected through you from your customers:

Laams collects information about your customers when they interact with you directly or through Laams online Services and products. Your customers' data are collected when they, for instance, voluntarily provide their personal information, such as their identification, demographic, payment, and contact information to you while purchasing directly through Laams POS System under Laams Business Suite Application. Some other information are collected by Laams when you enter some of the personal information as per your observation of the customer. Some of these information is collected from your customers when they transact with you through Laams Online Services and Products, such as their purchases, search queries, apointments and invoices. The particular customer data and personal information we collect will vary depending on how you use our products and services and which products and services you use.

The collected information about your customers are used to enhance Laams services and products, and provide effective and enhanced advertising and analytics tools for your business and Laams Advertising Service.

Your customers' information collected by laams may include:

Identification and Contact Information: which includes your customers' names, email addresses, phone numbers, mailing addresses, governmental documents (passport and ID), and other relevant demographic information.
Transactions Information: which includes your customers' provided bank account or card information, transaction detail and invoice provided by you.
Device and Location Information: which might include your customers' device hardware model and software operating system version, device name, device IP and network information, precise geolocation and other authomatically generated information.
Usage Information: which includes all type of interactions your customers make through Laams Services and Products with you, such as the pages they visit, the products they see, and the purchases they make.
Other Information: which includes the information that your customers voluntarily provide for Laams or the available data about your customers provided in public sources and advertising companies and other online service providers.

II. What Kinds of Personal Information Does Laams Collect?

Laams collects your information to comply to legal requirements, to ensure best experience for our users, clients, partners and customers, to check our products and services performance, to provide best services and products, to take into account user preferences and interests, and to resolves bugs in all our updates and upgrades, and the information collected from you with your consent, provided either voluntarily, collected automatically or from other sources, are as following:

Identification and Contact Information:

The identification and contact information collected by Laams include your first name, last name, your residential address, your email address, your phone number and other contact data.

Login and Registration Credentials:

Login and registration credentials include all the elements needed to authenticate your accounts, such as your password, your authentication phone numbers and other provided security information.

Demographic Data:

Collected demographic data includes your age, gender, language, nationality, country and other voluntary provided information.

LaamsWallet Transactions and Payments Data:

Data to process payments, such as your payment instrument number (such as a credit card number) and the security code associated with your payment instrument. Transaction Information, such as information about when and where payment transactions occur, the names of the transacting parties, a description of the transactions, the payment or transfer amounts, billing and shipping information, and the devices and payment methods used to complete the transactions.

Commercial Information:

such as information about the products and services you sell (e.g., inventory, pricing and other data) and information about your payment transactions (e.g., when and where the transactions occur, a description of the transactions, the payment or transfer amounts, billing and shipping information, and payment methods used to complete the transactions).

Likes, Favorites and Interests Data:

Data about your interests and favorites, such as the sports teams you follow, the programming languages you prefer, the stocks you track, or cities you add to track things like weather or traffic. In addition to those you explicitly provide, your interests and favorites can also be inferred or derived from other data we collect.

Interaction with Laams Data:

Data about your use of Laams products. In some cases, such as search queries, this is data you provide in order to make use of the products. In other cases, such as error reports, this is data we generate.

Geographical Location:

In order to provide certain Services, we may request access to location information, including precise geolocation information collected from your device. If you do not consent to the collection of this information, certain Services will not function properly and you will not be able to use those Services. You can stop our collection of location information at any time by changing the preferences on your mobile device. If you do so, some of our mobile applications will no longer function. You also may stop our collection of location information via mobile application by following the standard uninstall process to remove all Laams mobile applications from your device.

Contacts:

Data about your contacts and relationships if you use a product to share information with others, manage contacts, communicate with others, or improve your productivity. Information about your relationships and interactions between you, other people, and organizations, such as types of engagement (e.g., likes, dislikes, events, etc.) related to people and organizations

Camera Access Data:

Laams may install in-vehicle audio and/or video recording applications or devices to promote the safety and security of Laams driver partners, delivery partners and passengers. Your Personal Data may be captured in these audio and/or video recordings. Where in-vehicle audio and/or video recordings are made, such recordings are collected, processed, used and stored in a manner that is compliant with applicable laws. Some Laams partners may install personal in-vehicle cameras in their vehicles for their own purposes (including safety and security). The use of such in-vehicle cameras is not endorsed or prohibited by Laams. The collection, use and disclosure of Personal Data obtained from personal in-vehicle cameras is the responsibility of the relevant partner. Please check with the relevant partner if you have any queries about their use of personal in-vehicle cameras. works with some partners (including, but not limited to, Toyota and Hyundai) to install telematics devices in selected rental vehicles for the following purposes:

This includes, without limitation, the receipt and exchange of account or credit-related information with any credit reporting agency or credit bureau, where lawful, and any person or corporation with whom you have had, currently have, or may have a financial relationship, including without limitation past, present, and future places of employment, financial institutions, and personal reporting agencies.

Bug Reports Data:

Data about the performance of the products and any problems you experience, including error reports. Error reports (sometimes called “crash dumps”) can include details of the software or hardware related to an error, contents of files opened when an error occurred, and data about other software on your device.

Data you provide when you contact Laams for help, such as the products you use, and other details that help us provide support. For example, contact or authentication data, the content of your chats and other communications with Laams, data about the condition of your device, and the products you use related to your help inquiry. When you contact us, such as for customer support, phone conversations or chat sessions with our representatives may be monitored and recorded.

Analytics Tools used By Laams:

Laams might use third-pary analytics tools from service providers other than Laams to check Laams services, applications and software traffic metrics, analyze its online services and show advertisements to you through Laams web services, applications and other online services. These tools include technologies such as Google Analytics, Facebook, Twitter and similar technologies. To learn about these technologies/services you can refer to their official websites. We may disclose your site-use information (including IP address) to these analytics providers, and other service providers who use the information to help us figure out how you and others use our online services.

Remember that Laams uses other companies as its service providers to help it analyze its services, applications, software, web applications, ads, and websites. The Analystics Tools service providers usually promises privacy, confidentiality, and protection of the data they gather, but Laams has no control over what these third-party service providers do with your data. You are to check their privacy policy in case you are concerned about your data.

VI. How Does Laams Run Adverstisements?

Laams shows interest-based advertisements to you on its websites, applications (mobile, desktop, web), and software products, based on your collected personal information (such as your demographic information, online activities, likes and interests) tailored to your interest to sell products and services. These ads use both Laams developed tools and also third-party advertising tools, which track your activities over time and across multiple websites by collecting your information through automated technologies, including third-party cookies, web server logs, and web beacons.

Laams respects your privacy, bears in mind all ethical considerations and confidentiality of your personal information, and works hard to take all possible measures to protect your data and personal information. To protect your data we take all reasonable administrative, technical and physical measures to protect your information from loss, theft, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration and destruction.

We follow industry-standard security and encryption systems and practices to encrypt your credentials, passwords, ids, master cards, payment information and bank account information.
Our staff and experts, work in accordace with Laams Privacy Policy and monitor our servers around the clock to ensure the security of our online services. Also, our software and applications are designed with security measure as proirity of products' design and architecture.

However, the internet is never 100% secure, and we use third-party service providers, such as AWS, GCP, Azure and others to transmit and store your data. Despite, all our safegaurds we do not gaurantee absolute security for transmission or storage of your personal information; hence, any security issues in regards to the transmission and storage of your personal information remains at your own risk, and Laams is not to be held responsible.

VIII. In What Conditions and How Long Does Laams Keep Your Data?

We collect the kind personal formation from you that you consent to share with us, voluntarily provide for us, allow us to automatically collect using your device, your likes, interests and feedbacks, collect from publically available sources, collect from governmental and credit sources for background check, or from your interaction with Laams services and products.

Laams normally keeps your personal information for as long as you have an account with Laams through any of our software, applications, websites or services, or for as long as you are using any of Laams smart devices. However, you have the choice to opt out by following the instructions below:

Deleting Your Account:

If you have registered with Laams using any of our available software, applications and websites, and wish to delete your account, and prevent processing of your personal information by Laams, you can simply login to your account, go to settings and click on Delete Account. Your information will be deleted from Laams within the first week of your account deletion.
If are using any of our tangible products and devices, you can simply stop using our devices to prevent us from collecting you personal information.
If you wish to know what information about you is kept with Laams, or wish to instantly delete the information from Laams Databases, you can file a request to Laams through the contact information provided at the end of this Privacy Policy.

Opting Out of Geolocation Access:

To provide the best experience to you for using our certain services, such as Laams Delivery Service, we may need to access your exact geolocation information through your device. You have the choice to opt out, but the service requiring geolocation access might not work, and you might instead have to voluntarily type you residential address for us if you wish to, for instance, have you ordered products be devlived at you exact address. Thus, you have the choice to opt-out of your geolocation access by Laams, or simply uninstall any of the Laams applications, software, and progressive web apps if you do not wish to share your geolocation data with us.

Opting Out of Subscriptions and Promotions:

If you are receiving promotional or subscription related notifications or emails from Laams, you can either simply follow instructions attached to those emails (if you receive emails) to unsubscribe, or deactivate your notifications from you device settings.

IX. Children Privacy:

Being aware of the importance of children privacy, we do not knowingly ask, collected or process data and personal information from any individual below the age of 13, or allow the person to register. If you are a person below the age of 13 please do not send your personal, demographic, contact or any other type of information about yourself to us. If we get to learn that we have collected information from children below the age of 13 without their parents concent, we will delete the information as soon as possible. If you believe you we have unknowingly collected information from children please contact us, so that we could take action immediately.

Laams may change its terms of service and privacy policy at any time and in its sole discretion. The modified Laams Services Privacy Policy & Terms and Conditions will be effective immediately upon posting, and you agree to the new Laams Services Privacy Policy & Terms and Conditions by continuing to use any of our software, applications, devices, web services, websites, OSS, webistes, devices and our online and physical stores. You are responsible for staying informed of any changes. If you do not agree with the modified Laams Services Terms and Conditions, your only remedy is to discontinue using all our software, devices and websites.
